GENERAL NUISANCE BY-LAWS 1997 - PART 1 - PRELIMINARY
Citation:-
1. These By-laws may be cited as the county Council of Makueni (General Nuisance) By-laws 1997.
Interpretation :
2. In these By-laws, unless the context otherwise requires:- “Council” means the County Council of Makueni; “Game animal” means an animal specified in the Cap. 376 first schedule to the wildlife (Conservation and management) Act; “Medical Officer of Health” means the medical officer of health for the time being in charge of the area of jurisdiction of the County Council of Makueni. “Poultry” includes fouls, Turkeys, Gees and ducks. “Public Street/Roads” means a street/road maintainable by the council and includes any land reserved for use as a street/road. “County Council” means the county council of Makueni. “ County Clerk” means a person for the time being holding the office of the county clerk of the council and any other officer of the council authorized by the County Clerk in writing for the purpose of these By-laws; “Works Officer” means the person for the time being holding office of Works Officer or the Superintendent of Works or building Superintendent of the Council; “Vehicle” Means a motor Vehicle, motor lorry, motor cycle, taxicab, tractor, wagon or hand cart.
